Konnichiwa! I am delighted to be bringing Music Together® to families here in the Ebina/Yamato/Zama area of Japan. As a military spouse, music educator and mother of two little ones, I hope to provide a joyful, educational and inspiring music class for young children of all cultures- and their parents!
Music has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began by figuring out Beatles’ songs on the piano and quickly discovered a love for Schubert, Chopin and Beethoven, too! This passion took me all the way to Ithaca College in New York, where I received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, and then to Australia, where I received a Masters of Music Studies in Piano Performance and Teaching from the University of Melbourne.
After graduate school, I discovered a second love: teaching children. My first job was teaching general music to kindergarten and elementary students in my hometown area of Cherry Hill, New Jersey in 2005. Since then, I have taught elementary music and piano to students at Seisen International School and Nishimachi International School (Tokyo) and Lake Forest School for the Arts and Beaches Episcopal School (Jacksonville, FL).
My son, Connor, was born in 2012 and it was then that I discovered the magic of Music Together. Not just another mommy and me class, this program is truly authentic and unique. The digital and CD recordings are of the highest quality and the choice of songs is diverse and thoughtful. I found myself listening to the music even if Connor wasn’t in the car! I attended Music Together Teacher Training in San Francisco, January of 2014 and opened Imagine Music Together in September 2015.
Now that I am back in Japan as a military spouse and mom, I am thrilled I can bring this program to all of you! Please contact me if you have any questions at all. Thanks for your interest!
